Our Heritage

The Inn is special, thanks to the unique backgrounds of our owners, Julie and Patrick Beaumé, who blend the distinct flavours of Lancashire and Bordeaux. This mix infuses our establishment with a unique dining approach, merging the comfort of Northwest England with a certain je ne sais quoi. Our menu is a testament to this blend, offering guests a taste of our unique culinary perspective, making the Inn a notable destination in Preston’s dining scene.

What makes our food so good?

It’s simple. Good ingredients = good food. We’re talking grass-fed, ethically reared cattle; sustainable British seafood; local cheeses; the season’s best fruits and vegetables, the majority of which is grown in our own gardens. And when the produce is that good, the work of our chefs becomes that bit easier. They still work hard, mind you.

Accolades and Recognition

We're proud of the accolades the Inn has received, affirming our commitment to culinary excellence. Our achievements, including being named Telegraph & Sawday’s Pub of the Year and The Times’ Foodie Hotel of the Year, along with receiving 2 AA-Rosette Awards, highlight our kitchen's creativity and dedication. Being featured in the Michelin Guide further cements our status among Preston's culinary best.

A kitchen anchored in French classical technique, but one that puts all that knowledge and skill in the service of a recognisably British pub repertoire.
